Dr Don MacRae

General Dentist

Dr. Don MacRae, known better as 'Dr. Don' to his patients, graduated from dental school with his D.M.D degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 1990.

While practicing in Saskatoon, he also was a part-time faculty member at the College of Dentistry.

After three years, he and his family moved to the Okanagan to start Peachland Dental Centre in 1993.
Dr Zachary Loomer

General Dentist

Dr. Zac is the eldest of 5 siblings and has previously worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Kelowna Family YMCA. Dr. Zac is always looking out for others and enjoys guiding them through new experiences. His character shines through while working with anxious or younger patients.

"I always want to provide dentistry in a relaxed, no-pressure environment and I like to fully explain treatment plan proposals so that my patients can make an educated and informed decision regarding their oral health care needs,” says Dr. Zac. “I will always take the time to listen to and understand my patient's concerns, and seek to move forward together with treatment in confidence."

Dr. Zac has known Dr. Don for over 15 years who has played a big role in inspiring Dr. Zac to pursue dentistry. He is excited to continue his relationship with Dr. Don as both a mentor and a colleague.
Dr Kaleigh Penkala

General Dentist

Dr. Kaleigh was born and raised in Kelowna. After high school she attended UBCO where she received her bachelor’s degree in human kinetics. She then moved to Vancouver where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at UBC, class of 2020. From there Dr. Kaleigh continued her journey to Powell River starting off her career as a Dentist! Kaleigh is very passionate about helping others and enjoys working with patients of all ages! Dr. Kaleigh also completed advanced levels 1 and 2 of the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics & Therapeutics. She is now performing Botox treatment in clinic for aesthetic upper face concerns as well as therapeutic pain management for TMD.

Although she enjoyed her time on the coast, she is excited to return back home to Kelowna and build her practice for generations with our team here at One Dental! In her free time Dr. Kaleigh enjoys hiking, weightlifting, travelling, reading and spending time with her friends and family! We are so happy to have her join our growing practice and welcome her as part of our One Dental family!
Dr Alisa Edmond

General Dentist

Dr. Ali Edmond is a general dentist that focuses her practice on patient centered care, education, and prevention. Hailing from Whitehorse, Yukon, she earned her BSc in Microbiology from UBC Okanagan in 2010 and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Alberta in 2016. After graduation, Dr. Edmond returned to the Okanagan to be in the area, and with the people, that she fell in love with during her undergraduate studies. She understands that dentistry isn’t “one size fits all” and believes in working with her patients so that they can come to the best choices together, and then being there with them every step of the way with a positive attitude and a lame joke or two.

Dr. Edmond is comfortable with all aspects of general dentistry, and is passionate about continuing to grow her skillset and knowledge through continuing education. She is a member of the Kois Center for Advanced Dental Learning based out of Seattle, Washington, and has completed her level 2 certification at the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics for the use of botulinum toxin (Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®) for cosmetic procedures and pain management. In addition, Dr. Edmond has a special interest in clear aligner therapy (Invisalign®) and continues to grow her knowledge in this area at every opportunity.

In her free time, Dr. Edmond enjoys spending time with her two-favourite people, her partner and their new baby boy, and taking advantage of the beautiful Okanagan scenery and weather. In the summer, she can be found hiking, kayaking, and attempting to keep her garden alive. In the cooler seasons, she spends more time indoors with her family, but still insists on going for a walk outside on all her days off, rain, shine, or snow.

Specialized Hospital Privileges

At One Dental, Dr. Don MacRae is the only general dentist in the BC Interior with hospital privileges to perform dental procedures under general anesthesia. Through a special partnership with the Interior Health Authority, he provides care at Summerland Health Centre.
