Your First Visit
At One Dental, we understand that knowing what to expect during your first appointment helps you feel comfortable and confident.
Please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to fill out a New Patient form. Alternatively, you can also download, print, and fill it out in advance.
What to Expect
- Review of Your Dental History: We’ll discuss your medical and dental history, including any concerns you may have about your oral health.
- Comprehensive Oral Examination: Your dentist will perform a detailed exam of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw. This will include an oral cancer screening and any necessary X-rays to assess your overall dental health.
- Personalized Treatment Plan: Based on your history and exam findings, we’ll create a tailored treatment plan designed to meet your unique needs. We’ll also take the time to answer all your questions and discuss your options moving forward.

Referring Dentists
If you are a dentist and wish to refer a patient to One Dental in Kelowna. Patient referrals can be faxed to One Dental at 236-420-3911
Hospital-Based Dental Care in Kelowna
Some patients require additional support during dental treatment – especially children or those with special needs. Dr. MacRae is proud to offer hospital-based dental services through an exclusive partnership with Interior Health Authority at Summerland Health Centre.
Dr. MacRae is the only general dentist in the BC Interior with the privileges to provide dental care under general anesthesia in a hospital setting, with full operating room support. This ensures a safe and comfortable treatment experience for patients who require more complex care.

At One Dental, we'll help you navigate our options for payment and insurance.
Insurance Claims
We offer direct billing to your insurance company to make the payment process easier and more convenient for you. Our friendly administrative team is also here to help answer any questions you have and guide you through understanding your insurance plan, so you know exactly what’s covered and what to expect.
Payment Methods
The full treatment cost (or the patient portion if direct-billing to your insurance) must be paid at the time of your appointment. We accept payment by debit or most major credit cards.
